Lightning Sword

Name: Lightning Katana
Apperance: A long normal looking katana, with the words 'Life Is Eternal' engraved into it.
History: The sword was origionally the posession of an unknown man who appeared without warning to Adlet. He handed the sword to adlet without a single word and left.

Description: This sword holds the key to speed, it increases all aspects of movment incredibly. It is also almost unbreakable, but many would say that it is unbreakable because it is unknown how to destroy it. Despite the enscription, the sword has no power to give immortality. It increases speed by increasing muscle capabilities through gradual exposure to electricity chakra, by imbuing them with with it, giving them more aspects of lightning, making them faster, although not quite the speed of light . It also alters electrical waves in the air making the opponent perceive things much slower, this works by the lightening altering the track of light, so it takes much longer to get to the persons eye, the oponents reactions are not increased through this method, if anything, they are lessened as what they see has already happened, it can also alter how thing are seen, for example, it could make a person or an object appear without any color, just as a plain black object, this works by altering how the light acheives its destination (Would draw a diagram, but I'm tired). By pulsing small amounts of electricity through the air, but a few millimeters away from the desired target, in theory this doesn't really have much use. It is also able to deter brainwaves through this method, as many people should know it is a fact that the brain functions through small electrical signals, now, by altering electrical currents in the air, it has been proven to be able to force people to think of certain things and has been able to make people see things (However the experiments where cancelled because somebody told the press that they were harming the people, they ofcourse, where not.) The sword takes this to the next level, allowing the electrical brainwaves of the user to pass into the air, effecting the people arround the user by making them see illusions, for example, it could look like there is a man when ther actually isnt, unfortunatley, the sword does not have the capabilities to force someone to perceive something as complex as a fully fledged human, maybe a dog or horse at maximum. The sword can also make somebody feel something, but it cannot transfer pain or any other emotion throught this method. It could possibly make the nerves react to something that isnt there making it seem as if they are holding a rock or stick. This is a very crude method and cannot transfer pain due to it can only make the nerves sense something by making the brain receive weak electrical currents.

It can only make the user perceive something as simple as a dog or horse, or anything lesser that a human because there is such variety in the human race, that there is now way the sword could make something that looked anything like a human. In the same way it could make it look as if a shuriken or kunai is being thrown towards them.

*coughs* Unapproved. Please explain more of how " It increases speed by increasing muscle capabilities through gradual exposure to electricity." How this means really anything. By exposing your muscles to gradual electricity it would only cause them to become numb and unresponsive. It would also weaken your muscles due to constant shock...
